I had or still have problems with Java Script or Flashplayer. a few days ago this wasn't a problem, because the only thing that doesn't work on dA was the gallery/collections view.

Well. I was happy with that.

Hope you figured that deviant art changed the layout, though. Must happened yesterday or something.

Guess what. If the messages-layout is loading, it doesn't show the messages themselves. Means, I can't reply them at all.

GOD DAMMIT.

I checked the console, and it says there are several properties unknown... thank god I can program a little since I worked with a scripting langauge which is similar to PASCAL and delphi. maybe I can find the root of that f="$/%? problem, because it REALLY PISSES ME OFF. DAMN SUCKER. STUPID JAVA :shakefist:

some of the mistakes were here in structures like this:

div.mood-pager div.pagescroll a.f {
line-height:26px;
text-indent:8px;
_height:26px;
min-height:26px;
}

the bolt text is the place where the error happen.

in another line it says:

div.mood-pager {
height:214px
}

(if you wanna know: the properties of page components like scrollbars etc are defined that way)

Let's play Sherlock Holmes:
I think it's a damn stupid typo. A TYPO MAN. :shakefist:

the definition IS NOT "_height:20" it's "height:20" How the hell does that stupid "_" appear here?! :o in general it's an error if you name a procedure or variable like this. Even if you rename datas in the desktop.

I SAY. AND I JUST FIGURED THAT THIS STUPID ERROR APPEARS THE ENTIRE SCRIPT! Same as in this line:
_height:auto
which is also marked as an script error.

WHAT THE FUCK! :iconwhatthefrogplz: and that's the reasion why those page components aren't shown, because if the feature "height" isn't defined (like height:89; etc) it simply didn't show the object that uses it.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THOSE STUPID TYPOS ARE IN THERE. I HAVE NOOOOOOOOO IDEA.

But at least I know why I got problems with Java now.

Maybe I should deinstall Java and Firefox and then install it again. I really don't know how to solve that problem. because... it's not the fault of Java itself. Could be that there's something wrong with the data transfer too. :shrug:

oh well. I hate this. :shakefist:

Woah, you're the first to say you've got a problem like that with this v6 (is that sentence even correct?). :o Sounds.... awful. But yeah, I've got 1M Internet connection (thanks to my bro's computer that has the same connection, that is halved into 0.5M), "visto" ( =vicious) Vista and a computer filled with biiiiig files so this is like, slooooow. And then DA goes and gets changed like this. :slow: Aaaaawesome.

Oh well.... I wish v7 - if that's ever to come - will be more... frendlier to people with slow comps and connections. =(

And Java and Flashplayer... well, they've never worked fine with this shite. :slow: hah...

I laugh at your misfortune cookies! Bwahahaha! :pointandlaugh:
:giggle: hehe glad to hear.

hm... yeah maybe I should. but those typos also explain why YouTube doesn't work on my computer (and several other sides too). :o Maybe it's not an error of dA, but an error of my system.

Those aren't simple typos - if they were they would be on every computer.

Modern large pages (including the script part of them) aren't typed in, but assembled from smaller database blocks based on informations transmitted from the browser. There is a code in the background that asks for your browser version, your script version and so on, and then sends you code that is automatically assembled based on that informations.

If you get typos like that in your local code, that assembly failed. And if that happens on several different pages it is most likely because your browser has an error when sending the information about itself and the installed script/flash/video-engines.
That is entirely possible. If that's the case, I don't know what you should do... Sorry I'm no help. ^^;
