yeah... I'd like to know what kind of stuff and how you learn at your school, because I have the feeling German education system is fucked up maybe some comparison clears things up, you know?

In other words, I have the feeling I'm lazy as hell and too stupid XD

HAH. America's education sucks ass. Take here in Minnesota. At my school, we have to pass a certain class to graduate from school. Take me hating the class with a burning passion. Now we have some issues. PLUS the teachers here- some of them expect you to know nearly everything by osmosis. It's the worst thing ever; I had a teacher (no wait, TWO teachers) that wanted me to move back a Math class to relearn all the shit I already knew. Just to spite them, I moved down a level but stayed in the same class, so to speak. Guess what? I passed both with flying colors.

I think it's half to do with the teachers, the other with the curriculum.

Well, here in my school they're counting on everyone's own responsibility, that means, if you don't want to have class, you can leave. You have much of freedom, but it's only like this because this school is in addition to Junior School in order to get the A levels (or graduate in Senior School or something). so I'm on this school on my free will, and thus they treat you like that either.

They actually don't expect so much, if nobody wants to be active during class you simply get a bad oral grade. But according to the definitions there, you only get a bad grade if you're bothering. if you sit there and say nothing, you get a C or D automatically.
They're offering much of help, you just have go to them and call for it. Most of my teachers are fair (especially my maths teacher, he gave me a E even though I'd deserve a F lol) and nice. They're happy if you participate during class. I've observated that people in my class rather tend to be keen than to be lazy.

About the graduation here: it's a bit difficult to explain.
Here, you get 15 to 0 points to graduate (15 is the best grade, 0 the worst). Every half of a school year you pass one course. in order to graduate shcool, you have to count 42 courses of your choice. that means, I can chose the courses I'm good in to improve my result. It doesn't matter which category (like English or Economy) you take, main point is you get your 42 courses together. you're allowed to get under 5 points on 25% of the classes, but if you get 0 in one, it counts as non-attended and results in failing your graduation at all. But it's quite hard to get 0 points... lol


see, I have the feeling that the school you're in is too strict, and mine is too easy lol as I thought...
